In her Minneapolis studio, artist Heather Renaux disappears into circus tents, dips beneath turbulent sea waters and slips into story nests inhabited by magical fauna.
Renaux trained as an illustrator, receiving her BFA from Otis-Parsons in Los Angeles. Since then she has built a following for her Folk Surrealism paintings through gallery exhibits, art festivals, various events and her online shop. She was the featured artist at the Uptown Art Fair 2014 and the Mount Dora Art Festival 2011 and has won various awards and acknowledgements.
Like most creative souls, she toggles between real life and creating worlds of her own, enchanted dream worlds. Most days feeling like the luckiest woman alive because she’s living her dream of being a full-time artist.
